During june to Auguest every year the Courtallam waterfalls have enough flow for people to bath ans as it contains herbal qualities bathing hereis very much liked by people. Here people use shampoo soaps and other detergent materials and polluting water very much and the pollution level is unbearable On17-7-09 alone atoal number of 75to 80thousand people polluted the waterfallsThe result
1)affecting fish life
2)polythenebags close the voids of the rverbed which in result deepens groundwater table
3)addind deases to people who use this water in downstream
Just 30 Km from there a water falls in kerala maintained by Kerala forest department .There no sopas and shampoo allowed strictly to keep the water pollution free The very same people fallowa the rules there inside Kerala but when they come to Courtallam they never obey the rules and the reasons is here the authorities are not imposing the rules strictly
my oppenion is we must enforce strict rules in future to save our resource at least in the future

hmmm yes... v should adopt many good things from our neighbouring state kerala!!!
